Over 50 people were detained today in a widespread police action against doctors, forensics experts and pension fund administrators who are accused of issuing false permits for disability pensions.
The arrests were conducted in Skopje and several cities across the country. The suspects have operated a corrupt organization for years, and issued false documents to citizens who then applied and received disability pensions, defrauding the public budget.
