Major infrastructure projects will be opened in the coming days

Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski announced that several major infrastructure projects that were long delayed under the previous Government will be put into service in the coming days. These include two expressways, one connecting Stracin to Kriva Palanka, and the other Gradsko and Faris. The first road will greatly improve the connection between Skopje and Sofia as it will bypass the worst section on this road, that used to go through the winding canyon of Kriva Reka river. The other road is the first of the three sections of the expressway that will connect Prilep to the key north-south Corridor 10 highway. We are also working on the first section of the highway between Gostivar and Kicevo, and we have intensified work on the highway between Prilep and Bitola, said Prime Minister Mickoski. During a visit to the newly opened ski center Mihajlovo south of Kavadarci, the Prime Minister also said that the forecasts for the overall economic picture in 2025 indicate a rate of GDP growth between 3.5 and 4 percent. "Improved growth in the last quarter of 2024 could mean a rate of 2.6, 2.7, possibly even 3 percent. And in 2025, we expect growth of under 4 percent. These are good economic news, we are returning to where we were 10 years ago in terms of fast economic growth", Mickoski said.
