The Government today accepted the resignation from Kocani Mayor Ljupco Papazov, that was submitted over the Pulse nightclub disaster, in which 59 young people were killed.
Papazov resigned the day after the disaster, and is currently in detention. His two predecessors are also charged and are in house arrest.
It is now up to the municipal council to appoint an interim Mayor.
